PDO Threads
PDO Thread Lifts tighten sagging skin tissue and improve the texture and elasticity of the skin making it appear brighter and more vital. Following your consultation you will understand how treatment can help to smooth wrinkles, lift the skin and lead to volume increase.
+ What is it?
PDO Thread Lifts tighten sagging skin tissue using threads made of Polydioxanone – a synthetic fibre that has been safely used in surgical procedures for over 30 years. The threads are completely reabsorbed into the skin over a 6-month period stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This improves the texture and elasticity of the skin making it appear brighter and more vital. It smooths wrinkles, lifts the skin, narrows open pores and leads to a volume increase in the skin.
It can also be used to treat other areas of the body. The effects can last from 12-24 months.

+ Is it for me?
Most people with any of the above issues would benefit from a PDO Thread Lift. This can be discussed at your consultation. It’s best to avoid any procedure if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
+ Is it safe?
The PDO Thread Lift is a very safe form of treatment.
+ Procedure
Following a comprehensive and thorough history including medical history, written consent will be obtained and photographs taken. All information will be securely stored in accordance with General Data Protection rules. The skin is topically anaesthetised and prepared and the PDO THREADS inserted. The actual procedure takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Bruising and slight swelling is not unusual but doesn’t always happen.
+ Aftercare
For the following 24 hours, it’s important not to touch or massage the face, avoid sunlight, saunas, alcohol and exercise. Gentle exercise can be resumed on Day 2 but it’s important to wear a strong SPF. The skin usually takes about a week to recover.
+ Downtime
Immediately post-procedure there will be a feeling of tightness and tenderness with possible swelling. Bruising is also possible. This sensation will continue for the following couple of days. After a week, the skin will start to feel normal again.
